About Jambalaya!

I started this blog in May 2003 as a replacement for my first attempt on the Userland/Manila platform. and to overcome some of its limitations. I chose MovableType as the platform as it was then new and promising. It went well for a few years but then time got the better of me and posts dwindled. Along with that was a failure to keep the platform updated, and posts eventually stopped in 2009, even though the ideas kept coming.

Late in 2014 I decided to address the situation and took a look at the Squarespace platform, which is where we are now. I am gradually moving over all the old posts before going live under the original URL
